The First and Second Year Selective Program is a seven-week (or equivalent) course on a variety of topics (see links below).
The majority of selective courses are seven weeks in length and are taught in small groups (Optimum group size requirements may be stipulated by the course chairs). The offerings focus on specialized topics which can be viewed below. Instruction methods and schedules vary by Selective (see descriptions for details). Not all of the Selectives meet every week, but instead some are longitudinal and meet throughout the academic year. All selectives that are not longitudinal should have at least 7 sessions.
