Summer Poster Fair at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA
We are looking for outstanding individuals who demonstrate commitment to the program's mission, including interest in leadership and advocay, and who will become dynamic physicians engaged in health careers and leadership in policy, research, administration and clinical care that addresses the needs of underserved populations.
Candidates will be evaluated using criteria that includes experience with and commitment to, working with underserved populations in California (or the US) as well as experience in leadership and/or advocacy roles. Additional review of the strength of the application will include the core objective criteria of GPAs and MCAT scores, a secondary application, and letters of recommendation. For the final round of candidates there will be mutiple mini interviews.
Applicants who apply to DGSOM and select the MD-Graduate program option (e.g. PRIME) will be screened for both DGSOM and UCLA PRIME program. If the applicant is acceptable for both DGSOM and UCLA PRIME, an offer to interview will be extended. If the applicant is not acceptable for UCLA PRIME, they may still be offered an interview for the MD program. An interview with PRIME is acceptable for the MD program.
