Dear Faculty Members,

We are delighted to announce the commencement of the fifth cycle of the Global Health Seed Grant Program, a collaborative initiative between the DGSOM Global Health Program (GHP) and UCLA Health International Services. We invite you to submit Letters of Intent to participate in this program.

The core objectives of this program are as follows:

  1. Supporting Multidisciplinary Faculty Teams: We aim to provide crucial support to multidisciplinary teams of faculty actively engaged in global health research within low- and middle-income countries.
  2. Fostering Global Research Partnerships: The program seeks to facilitate the establishment or further development of enduring global research partnerships focused on addressing pressing health challenges that are contextually relevant.
  3. Enhancing Skills of Early Career Investigators: We are committed to building the capacities of early career investigators, both at global partner sites and within the UCLA community.

For the funding cycle spanning May 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, we anticipate awarding up to three grants. Each grant may receive a maximum funding amount of $50,000.
