Aparna Murali, MS, LCGC 
Genetic Counselor 
Obstetrics and Gynecology 

Aparna Murali, M.A is a genetic counselor certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling and licensed in California. She received her BS from the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning in 1995, graduating with Hons. She received her MA degree in Psychology from Annamalai University in 1998 and Master of Science degree in Genetic Counseling from California State University, Northridge in 2000. Prior to her genetic counseling career, Aparna worked in a cytogenetic lab and was part of the team that standardized triple marker maternal serum screening, a first in southern India. Prior to joining UCLA OB-GYN, Aparna worked in diverse environment- lab, private practice and community hospitals. Aparna enjoys giving didactic presentations from high school, undergraduate/postgraduate, nursing, residents and fellows on prenatal, preconception and cancer genetics. She also enjoys mentoring prospective genetic counseling students.
