This academic year will be marked by virtual learning experiences and new public health protocols, but more excitingly, it will be a year defined by the reimagination of how – and what – we learn, teach and prioritize.
Our first-year students are now attending vital in-person sessions in accordance with carefully laid out protocols, including daily symptom tracking, decreased learner density, and the use of face coverings and face shields. For all sessions that do not have a critical hands-on component, students are learning remotely.
There will not be a choice to opt-out of in-person activities for the spring 2021 semester (January-June). The curriculum will be “hybrid” with activities such as lectures and PBL remaining remote, and other activities including Preceptorship and Clinical Skills sessions being in-person.
Please continue thoroughly reading your student update emails, archived at the top of this page, for additional updates and details.
