The Center for Accessible Education (CAE) offers accommodations and support services to meet the unique educational needs of regularly enrolled UCLA students with documented permanent and temporary disabilities. The philosophy and mission of the CAE is to encourage independence, assist students in realizing their academic potential, and to facilitate the elimination of programmatic and attitudinal barriers.
The CAE will communicate appropriate academic accommodations to the School of Medicine. The School of Medicine may require additional assessment or evaluation in consultation with the CAE in order to confirm if student is able to meet the technical standards.
If you are interested in applying for CAE accommodations, please follow instructions for new students on the CAE website found here.
For questions about how accommodations are being implemented in the remote environment, please refer to the CAE website for DGSOM students found here.
