Comprehensive Diversity Statistics for the Faculty of the David Geffen School of Medicine
The David Geffen School of Medicine Monograph presents a current year diversity profile of the ladder and non-ladder faculty in the major series that are reviewed by CAP. Because the School of Medicine faculty members are represented in a broad number of academic series, participate in a health sciences compensation plan, and work in satellite centers, this additional monograph provides a fuller picture of the distribution and composition of faculty within the school.
This volume covers five academic series: three which carry Academic Senate membership (Regular series, In-Residence series, and Clinical X series), and two which do not carry Academic Senate membership (Adjunct series and Clinical Compensated series). All of these series are academic titles that require a Council of Academic Personnel (CAP) review for advancement. Because some of the faculty are located off campus, the breakdown with respect to on- and off-campus personnel is also included, as well as the total number of faculty in each of the series that make up a department.
