We’re committed to providing mentorship and training worthy of the postdoctoral scholars who choose to complete their training at our institution.
We strive to not only stimulate and challenge their intellects, but also to equip them with tools, knowledge, and experiences that feed their passion for inclusive humanistic care, scholarly inquiry, and advocacy.
The Institutional Research and Academic Career Development Award (IRACDA) Fellows
The Institutional Research and Academic Career Development Award (IRACDA) at UCLA supports postdoctoral scholars in the biological sciences who have a demonstrated interest in teaching, research, mentoring, and supporting diversity in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. A major goal is to produce a workforce in STEM with a strong commitment to teaching diverse undergraduates, particularly at institutions that have a history of training students underrepresented in higher education.
