Compassionate Conversations

The UCLA Bedari Kindness Institute (BKI) and the UCLA Dialogue across Difference Initiative (DaD) are pleased to announce a new series called “Compassionate Conversations” featuring speakers who share a deep and humane commitment to engaging others with compassion, empathy, and respect. At this critical juncture in the life of our university, we all can benefit from more compassionate, kind, and honest conversations.
The series will commence with a talk by Dr. Yasmeen Abu Fraiha on November 13, 2024 from 4-5:30 pm. RSVP to save your seat. Space is limited. Please join us to hear her remarkable story as she talks with David Myers, director of the Bedari Kindness Institute and UCLA professor of history. After the conversation, there will be an opportunity to engage in guided small-group dialogue and processing.
Students from all disciplines and programs are especially encouraged to attend! Please share the attached flier widely among your students, friends, colleagues, and networks.
We look forward to joining together in conversation.
