Collaborating across disciplines, the DGSOM faculty leads the evolution of medical knowledge, developing novel treatments and tools to improve health and save lives. Faculty members direct research via close interactions with students, postdoctoral researchers, laboratory staff, and undergraduate researchers.
In addition to a primary appointment in a basic science or clinical department, faculty members enjoy affiliations with DGSOM’s centers, institutes, and Unified Research Themes.
Faculty involvement in these areas stimulates interactions between basic, translational, and clinical researchers and catalyzes the interdepartmental relationships needed to take on the world’s most pressing biomedical challenges.
