The Dean’s Office provides a dashboard for launching its Excel programs (Add-Ins). The dashboard is setup to automatically download the latest version of the add-ins when a new version if available.
- Make sure that Enable All Macros is selected in Excel's Macro Settings
- Make sure that Dean's Office Programs.xla is the Add-In selected in Excel's Add-Ins Available window.
Download the DOAppsSetup_Xla.exe from the Dean's Office website.
Run the DOAppsSetup_Xla.exe to activate the Unzip screen. We recommend that you use the default directory C:\DOApps. Click the Unzip button.

Close WinZip after the files have been extracted.
The Unzip will create the C:\DOApps directory with necessary files to setup the dashboard. Extractred files are shown below. There might be other folders and files under C:\DOApps.
Add the Dean's Office Programs.xla to your Excel Add-ins.
The Dean's Office Programs.xla should be the only add-in (from the Dean's Office) to be loaded on Excel startup, since all other programs are run from the Dashboard.
Make sure that Enable All Macros is selected under Excel's Macro Settings:
Under Tools, click Dean’s Office Program to activate the dashboard.

Click the Add/Remove a Program button to import the Dean’s Office programs on your pc. The import will find only the programs that were installed in the programs default directory, i.e. C:\QDB. If a program was installed elsewhere it will not be imported. After the import the screen is updated to show the imported programs. If you see a program that was on your computer but you do not use it, you can remove it, see Adding/Removing a Program.

Note - Queries
If you install the dashboard on a new pc and the user has queries on the old pc, you need to copy these queries to their new pc. If any of the following directories exists on the old pc, copy them to the new pc before installing the dashboard. This is the easies way to take care of queries.
