Education & Training
I did both my undergraduate and medical school training at the University of Southern California, and am still a season-ticket holder for USC football, so I go into hiding in late November when the USC-UCLA game is typically scheduled.
Positions
I served for six years on the Faculty Executive Committee, and for two years was the Chairman, representing their diverse interests. That work also helped me understand both the workings of the university, and the challenges for faculty members. I also have experience in the non-profit world, having served as Chairman of the Holocaust Museum of Los Angeles, among other volunteer work.
Teaching
I have been active in teaching at all levels in medical education, but get the most out of working with students both in Year 2 and Year 4 of the old curriculum, and what will be Year 1 of the new curriculum.
