Chloe is from Orange County, California. After beginning her college education at community college, she transferred to UCLA and graduated in 2018 with a B.S. in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology and a minor in Society and Genetics. As an undergraduate, she volunteered with Planned Parenthood as a sexual education intern in the greater Los Angeles area. Chloe continued this passion for education equality with her involvement with Project Literacy and My Journey to College at UCLA. After graduation, she took on a role at Ambry Genetics as a Clinical Assistant. There, she acted as a liaison between the laboratory genetic counselors and clients, relaying test information and answering technical questions. She also worked as a postmortem case coordinator where she developed an interest in the field of cardiogenetics. Chloe was also a member of the ClinGen Variant Expert Panel for Aminoacidopathies with an emphasis in PKU and volunteered as a genetic counseling assistant at the St. Joseph Hospital Center for Cancer Prevention and Treatment. During her time in the UCLA Genetic Counseling program, she is looking forward to deepening her understanding of familiar fields and exploring new ones.
