Jessica Kianmahd Shamshoni, MS, CGC
Licensed Certified Genetic Counselor
Pediatrics

Jessica Kianmahd Shamshoni is a genetic counselor board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling and licensed in California. She received her MS in Human Genetics and Genetic Counseling from Stanford University School of Medicine and her BA in Psychology and Minor in Disability Studies from University of California, Los Angeles. Jessica currently serves on the Communications Committee of the Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC) and the Program and Membership Committees of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC). At UCLA, Jessica specializes in pediatric and adult medical genetics, providing genetic counseling in the general genetics, craniofacial, and ASXL-related disorders clinics, and the inpatient service. She also provides clinical supervision for genetic counseling students. She is also on teaching faculty for the UCLA MS in Genetic Counseling program. Jessica is passionate about education and community outreach and has led several talks on carrier screening for young adults and couples hoping to start a family.
