Neve is from San Rafael, CA and received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with an emphasis in Biology, from UC Davis. During her time as an undergraduate, she worked as a research assistant in a behavioral neuroscience laboratory studying the effects of Oxytocin in California Mice. After graduating, she worked as a lab manager in a Learning and Memory laboratory at the UC Davis Center for Neuroscience, as well as a hospital phlebotomist gaining valuable patient care experience. She learned about genetic counseling while still an undergraduate and later gained first hand exposure through volunteering, interviewing and shadowing genetic counselors around the country. Neve is interested in disability advocacy in the field of genetic counseling and continuing her work with a related support and advocacy group she founded. In her free time, she likes to draw, paint and host game nights with her friends.
