Kevin Ikuta, MD, MPH
Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine
I currently serve as teaching faculty for the Educators for Excellence and Foundation of Practice curricula at DGSOM. I’m also involved in medical student, resident, and fellow education in the infectious disease curriculum at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. My research interest is population health work through the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation with a focus on the global burden of sepsis and antimicrobial resistance.
I’m originally from Long Beach, CA and lived in Los Angeles until graduating from DGSOM at UCLA. I then went to New Haven followed by Seattle for medical training but always had an eye to returning to Los Angeles. Outside of DGSOM I enjoy running, seeking out great food, listening to and playing music, and spending time with my dog.
