Tahlia Spector, MD, FACEP
Educator for Excellence and Chair, 3rd Year Preceptorship
I have enjoyed teaching, mentoring, and remediating medical students at the David Geffen School of Medicine for over 15 years. My interests include teaching systematic processes that enhance learning, improving diagnostic reasoning skills, and developing cultural competency (I was an exchange student with immersive experiences in several countries).
Although I was born in Denver and have studied and worked on the East Coast, I’ve spent most of my life in the Los Angeles area – at UCLA in fact, where I took undergraduate classes, attended medical school, completed a dual residency then a fellowship, and then worked. So, it might seem strange that I married a Trojan. Fortunately, we root for the same team since the only sports we’re truly vested in is whatever our two boys are playing that season. Other hobbies include photography and travel.
