Position Requests  

A position request is used to request a new position, changes to an existing unfilled position, or replace/backfill an existing position. All requests must include an org chart, approved and classified job description, and position request form.

Job Descriptions 

Click here to validate you are using a classified job description.

Note: Do not make changes to a JD that has already been classified. Any changes should be submitted to HR for review by attaching the current JD and a draft document reflecting the proposed updates. If you need to have your job description classified, contact DOHR@mednet.ucla.edu.  

Org Charts 

Org charts should contain information for each position in your department, including incumbent name, position title code, and working title. Include whether the position is vacant or filled. Click here for a downloadable org chart template. 

Submit completed forms to Ask DO HR. Requests must be submitted by the last day of the month to be reviewed by the Hiring Committee the next month. To learn more, view the position request workflow here.

Compensation Requests 

A compensation request is used to request a temporary stipend (see form for qualifying reasons), an equity or market adjustment review, or to reclassify a position. All requests must include an org chart and the compensation request form. Equity requests, market adjustments, and reclassifications must include current and proposed job descriptions.
