You may be eligible if you are:
- 18 years of age or older
- Have a BMI of ≥ 27 kg/m2
- Have waist circumference ≥ 40’’ for males and 35’’ for females
Your participation will last 26 weeks with 8 clinic visits. The first visit is a screening visit to ensure you are eligible for the study. Visits include blood tests, body weight, surveys, and diet assessment and diet counseling. This is a randomized study, where you will be assigned to one of two groups. You will have a 1 in 2 chance of being assigned to the medication or the control group.
You will be paid up to $250 for your participation.
