Our most precious resource isn’t money — it’s time. We’re allotted just twenty-four hours a day and live in a culture that keeps us feeling rushed and like we never have enough.

Having spent her career studying the interplay between time and happiness, Professor Cassie Mogilner Holmes will be presenting her current research on the unhappiness of having too little time. In this Stress, Trauma, and Resilience (STAR) Seminar, Cassie will share studies from several projects exploring the prevalence, antecedents, and consequences of time poverty (i.e., the acute feeling of having too much to do and not enough time to do it), as well as strategies from her recent book Happier Hour: How to Beat Distraction, Expand Your Time, and Focus on What Matters Most for how to invest the time we do have for greater joy and satisfaction.
