Elizabeth Contreras is the Administrative Assistant for the HRSA funded UCLA UIM-COE. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from California State University Northridge. She has previous experience with the Ventura County Public Health Department, working with community leaders; non-profit health education experience with adolescents and parents, and assisted living experience, working with seniors in the local community. Elizabeth grew up in Oxnard, CA, a primarily latinx community, with very limited resources available at the time and she understands the challenges families face and the support they need. Her passion is divided with the drive to improve health and educational resources in underrepresented minority-based communities and music. During her free time, she works as a professional musician in Orange County.
