I graduated from nursing school at UCLA with my BSN and worked at UCLA on the pediatric floor before obtaining my master’s degree in nursing from UCSF. After graduating from UCSF I worked as a nurse practitioner in a Cystic Fibrosis/Pulmonary clinic for many years. I have been working as the metabolic clinic coordinator at UCLA in genetics for over 15 years. I provide case management for patients with all metabolic disorders (PKU, urea cycle disorders, fatty acid oxidation disorders, lysosomal storage disorders). I have been involved with multiple studies related to urea cycle disorders and I have an interest in newborn screening.
