AI for neural engineering and neuroscience
Abstract: In this talk, I will discuss how we can use AI to advance neural engineering and computational neuroscience. I will first discuss how we can build higher performing brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) using AI copilots. These AI copilots collaborate with a BCI user to help execute task goals. Second, I will discuss how we can build artificial neural network models of animal behaviors, and subsequently probe the neural networks to gain further insight into neural dynamical mechanisms underlying behavior.
