Commemorating the National Disability Employment Awareness Month

Join us for a presentation on building neuroinclusive environments across both clinical and educational settings. Featured speakers Dr. Christine Moody and Dr. Giselle Salinas will share strategies and insights to advance inclusive practices that support neurodiverse individuals in care and learning contexts.

About our Speakers: 

Dr. Christine Moody

Christine Moody, Ph.D., leads the postsecondary education and employment initiatives at the UCLA Tarjan Center, a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. As part of this work, Christine provides training and consultation to the California Community College system, Department of Rehabilitation, and industry employers toward creating neuroinclusive schools, workplaces, and communities. Christine is a licensed clinical psychologist by background and also serves as the Associate Director at the UCLA PEERS® Clinic, testing and delivering evidence-based social skills programming for youth and adults - including the PEERS® for Careers program focused on employment-related social skills. She has 15 years of experience working with neurodivergent individuals and their families. 

Dr. Giselle Salinas 

Giselle Salinas, Ph.D., is the Chief Research Fellow at the UCLA PEERS® Clinic and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the UCLA Tarjan Center. Her work focuses on neuroinclusive employment supports and the transition-to-adulthood experiences of autistic adults and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She is also dedicated to advancing culturally responsive care for Spanish-speaking and Latine families, drawing from her experiences in autism screening, special education advocacy, and community partnership work.
