My research interests include the evolution and ecology of human-associated bacteria and viruses. In my work, I aim to develop statistical methods to better understand how microbial communities constitute themselves and change in response to selective pressures, particularly in the context of human health and disease. Outside of the lab, you can find me tackling a new recipe, reading a book (for my book club or otherwise), or getting heated over a chess game.
