Dr. Jung’s laboratory focuses on examining cancer-related metabolic and inflammatory biomarkers and how their interactions with behavior/lifestyle factors influence the etiopathogenesis and manifestations of different types of cancers and metabolic disorders. In particular, her lab investigates the impact of genetics/epigenetics/transcriptomics on cancer carcinogenesis and progression under biochemical marker pathways, and develops genetically/epigenetically targeted interventions as tailored cancer prevention strategies.
