Recruiting Healthcare Workers with Anxiety to Participate in Research
Clinical trial for a novel therapeutic solution to improve anxiety
Are you burnt-out, stressed, and experiencing anxiety?
Our team of UCLA, CAL STAR, and Stanford Health researchers are testing the efficacy of a novel therapeutic solution to improve anxiety symptoms in healthcare workers.
We are seeking medical residents for an efficacy stage clinical trial.
Study Goals
- Establish the efficacy of a novel therapeutic intervention as a treatment modality for anxiety in healthcare workers
- Investigate if the novel therapeutic intervention also causes physiological changes in health related domains (sleep, heart rate variability, inflammation, etc.)
- Discover if the novel therapeutic intervention can reduce healthcare worker burnout
Study Overview
- We will recruit 150 healthcare workers with anxiety to participate in our study, who will be randomly assigned to complete either the target intervention or a control intervention
- Participants will be asked to participate in a baseline assessment, six 1-hour intervention sessions across 9 weeks, a post-intervention assessment, and a follow-up assessment 3 months later
- We will collect micro blood samples and will provide a Garmin Vivo Active 5 as compensation, which we will ask participants to wear throughout the duration of the study
- Participants do not need to come into the lab to participate: All research activities will occur online, and devices and samples will be mailed!
Benefits of Participation
Participants will receive a FREE Garmin Vivio Active 5 and contribute to science.
