Events are optional on 4/12, but picnic is recommended. 

1 - 4:30 p.m. — Admit Weekend Check-In 
1 - 2 p.m. — Financial Aid Meet & Greet
1:30 - 4:30 p.m. — Tours
4 - 6 p.m. — Welcome Picnic
8 - 11 p.m. — Student-Led Mixer

8 - 9 a.m. — Admit Weekend Check-In 
8 - 9 a.m. — Welcome Breakfast
9 - 11:45 a.m. — Introductory Sessions
11:45 a.m. - 2 p.m. — Student Organizations Fair & Lunch
2 - 4 p.m. — Afternoon Sessions, including SIM Center, Global Health, Urban Health Equity, Community Health, Health Equity, PRIME-LA
4:10 - 6:10 p.m. —Break
6 - 8 p.m. — Second Look Reception

  • We will not be able to provide hotel accommodations to additional guests.  

  • There will not be a live-stream of the event, but we will do our best to connect you with faculty, students, and/or staff should you not be able to attend.  

Event Check In and Check Out

  • Event check-in begins April 12 at 1 p.m. 
  • Events conclude April 13 at 8 p.m. A casual, drop-in breakfast will be hosted on April 14 from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m.  

Parking and Directions

  • Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the closest airport to UCLA, approximately 11 miles away. You are responsible for planning your transportation from LAX to the hotel. To aid you in your decision-making, carefully review the information about LAX-it.
  • Events will be located on UCLA campus: Geffen Hall, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA (Google Maps: 885 Tiverton Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90024).
  • Activities are on campus at Geffen Hall and Switzer Plaza. Details to come on parking and directions.

  1. Hotel check-in at the Luskin begins Friday at 4 p.m.
    • Early? Luskin can hold your luggage for you or we can hold them at Geffen Hall. 
    • Make your way to Geffen Hall area in the afternoon. Event check-in begins at 1 p.m.
  2. Items to Remember
    • Attendees are encouraged to wear a mask indoors during the event.
    • Have a photo I.D. on hand for check-in. 
    • Comfortable footwear is recommended throughout the event. 
    • Recommended Attire:
      • Friday – Casual
      • Saturday – Business
      • Sunday – Casual
  3. WiFi Access: Select "MEDGUEST" to gain access.

We have made arrangements for your stay at the UCLA Luskin Conference Center (Google Maps: 425 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles 90095).

Rooms will be double-occupancy, shared with another incoming student. Please note that the covered costs include room fees and taxes only.

  • Comfortable footwear is recommended throughout the event
  • It is highly recommended that attendees are up-to-date with their COVID vaccination status.  

  • Masking is not required but is strongly recommended while indoors. Masking is optional outdoors but is recommended when in large crowds or where physical distancing is not feasible. 

  • We will follow LA County and UCLA public health guidelines at the time of the event and will communicate any changes if needed.  

  • If you are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms while participating in the event, please self-test before resuming your participation.
