Latino Medical Student Association’s Lennox Health Fair

Senior Scholarship Day

Asian Pacific American Medical Students Association Conference

The Asian Pacific American Medical Students Association (APAMSA) hosted a conference during AAPI Heritage Month, “Stop the Hate: Addressing AAPI Racism in Healthcare and Society,” at Geffen Hall as well as hosting several health fairs across L.A. County.

White Coat Ceremony

In addition to our traditional ceremony welcoming the new medical school class to the DGSOM community and the medical profession, 2022 celebrated a belated White Coat Ceremony for the medical student class that matriculated in the fall 2020. This milestone celebration was an opportunity to celebrate the Class of 2024 as they embarked on their clerkship training. Dr. Feranmi Okanlami, DGSOM faculty, leader, and advocate for people with disabilities, provided the keynote address for this ceremony.

 

Cultural North Star Community Socials

DGSOM quarterly community socials were launched in summer 2022 to provide a venue for faculty, staff, students, trainees, and leaders to (re)connect and build community. The in-person gatherings presented opportunities to welcome new community members, celebrate team accomplishments, and recognize colleagues.
