Mission
The Behavioral Wellness Center is committed to supporting students' and trainees' physical, mental, and emotional well-being while they embark on their journeys to becoming the next generation of health leaders.
We are also committed to practicing in a way that recognizes how racial, political, cultural, and spiritual practices operate on implicit, explicit, institutional, and individual levels to impact minoritized populations, populations of color, and LGBTQ communities' experiences.
Confidentiality
Our services are confidential. All contact with the Behavioral Wellness Center is maintained separately from the David Geffen School of Medicine. Students and medical trainees may, however, request that the Behavioral Wellness Center contact the School of Medicine faculty under certain circumstances. In such an event, consent and terms are discussed and agreed upon by the student or medical trainee and his/her treatment team.
