DGSOM Insight Series: Pre-Med Advisor Info Session

Event is open to Pre-Med Advisors and Counselors Only. 

This session is designed specifically for pre-med advisors and counselors who support students pursuing careers in medicine. Led by representatives from the Clinica Romero and the Associate Dean of Admissions at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, this year's session will focus on the role of clinical experiences in pre-med preparation and admissions. Attendees will learn practical strategies for helping students prepare for and engage in clinical experiences, while also gaining valuable insight into how medical schools evaluate these experiences during admissions review. The discussion will highlight what makes clinical experiences meaningful and impactful, and how advisors can best support students in developing strong, competitive applications.
