Rachel Moon, MD, FAAP, is the first author of the American Academy of Pediatrics Policy Statement on Sleep-Related Infant Deaths: Updated 2022 Recommendations for Reducing Infant Deaths in the Sleep Environment. She is the Harrison Distinguished Teaching Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia. Dr. Moon is a national expert on infant sleep-related deaths and prevention.
