Summit on Access and Affordability in Cell and Gene Therapies
Global Summit on Access and Affordability of Cell and Gene Therapies Convening March 20, 2026; Join the Conversation
Bringing the promise of cell and gene therapies to patients is one of the defining opportunities – and responsibilities – of modern medicine. To advance this goal, the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR), in collaboration with the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) and the UCLA Broad Stem Cell Research Center, will host the Summit on Access and Affordability in Cell and Gene Therapies on 20 March 2026. Thomas Rando and Amander Clark are among two of the organizers leading the summit.
The event will convene global leaders across research, clinical care, policy, economics, and patient advocacy to address scientific, financial, and systemic barriers that limit patient access to potentially curative cellular medicines. Through focused discussions, participants will explore innovative strategies in payer engagement, reimbursement and financing models, manufacturing scale-up, and regulatory innovation to help ensure these transformative therapies reach patients worldwide.
Participation is intentionally limited to ensure a highly interactive environment. The organizers welcomes expressions of interest from individuals committed to advancing equitable access to cell and gene therapies worldwide. Use this form to express interest.
