The Admissions Committee functions in accordance with the mission and diversity statements of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. The Admissions Committee is deeply committed to increasing the diversity of the workforce in all tenets of healthcare, including education, research, community engagement, and clinical care. The Admissions Committee is ultimately responsible for admitting a complete class for the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA (DGSOM), UCLACaltech MSTP, UCLA PRIME and the UCLA-Charles R. Drew Medical Education Program (CDU-MEP). Seven Subcommittees will review the applications for specific tracks as follows: 3 subcommittees for DGSOM, 1 for DGSOM Disadvantaged, 1 for CDU-MEP, 1 for PRIME, and 1 for Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP). The Subcommittees make recommendations for candidates for acceptance to the David Geffen School of Medicine to the Admissions Committee.
