The annual Road to Residency Conference is an opportunity for all future residents to explore what it takes to thrive in residency, whether at UCLA or beyond. Open to all medical students at all stages of their journey, this event offers the chance to connect with current residents, engage with departmental leadership, and gain valuable insights into the residency application process. Why UCLA Residency?
UCLA is committed to training physicians from all backgrounds to be best prepared to care for a multicultural patient population. We strive to create a learning and working environment that is inclusive and supportive of all of our trainees, including those coming from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in the field of medicine. We believe that together we are stronger and thus focus our efforts on collaborating across our various training programs to build community. The GME Subcommittee on Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion was created as part our Office’s mission to bring together faculty and housestaff at various levels of training to enhance efforts surrounding recruitment, retention and reaching back.
