What to look for when receiving a suspicious letter
- No return address
- Restrictive markings
- Misspelled words
- Unknown powder or suspicious substance
- Possibly mailed from a foreign country
- Excessive postage
- If you receive a suspicious letter:
- Stop! Do NOT handle it
- Isolate it immediately
- Do not open, smell or taste it
- Immediately call UCPD by calling 9-1-1.

- Strange odor
- Addressed incorrectly

- Lopsided or uneven
- Protruding wires
