About
Emily is a board certified and licensed genetic counselor with over 15 years of experience working in human genetics. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California Santa Cruz and her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Emily’s clinical background is in pediatric cancer predisposition and her academic passion is anchored in education and increasing the accessibility of genetics knowledge to patients and established healthcare providers and new trainees. Her research interests include development of age-appropriate tools and strategies for children and families to talk about genetics and cancer risk.
