His laboratory develops computational tools to interpret genomic data. These tools permit both high and low-level modeling of transcriptional and epigenetic regulation and signal transduction. His systematic approach integrates data produced by the latest generation of high throughput sequencers, tiling and expression arrays, and mass spectrometers. Dr. Pellegrini helps organize and run the UCLA Bruins-In-Genomics (BIG) Summer Undergraduate Research program, an intensive summer research experience for undergraduates in genomics and bioinformatics and an excellent pipeline into our training program.
