About
Morgan grew up in Novi, Michigan, and graduated with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Spanish from Oakland University. After working in reproductive medicine and completing a teaching certification, she moved to Madrid, Spain, to teach English to children of varying ages. Beyond the classroom, she worked individually with students struggling to adapt to new cultural and educational systems.
After several years abroad and completing a Spanish C-1 certification, she returned to the US to re-enter healthcare and began working in organ and tissue donation in Michigan. Her role included volunteering at community events to honor donors and support their families. Outside of work, she also became a youth mentor at La Casa Amiga, a nonprofit offering community services to local families in both English and Spanish. Meeting weekly with a dedicated mentee, Morgan focused on activities that supported the student's personal and academic growth.
These diverse clinical and advocacy experiences solidified her lifelong goal of becoming a genetic counselor. Now a graduate student at UCLA, Morgan is eager to utilize her interpersonal skills to serve California’s diverse patient populations. In her free time, she loves to travel—especially back to Madrid—read, listen to music, and spend time with friends and family. She is excited to pursue her training within the UCLA system and looks forward to becoming a well-rounded genetic counselor.
