Advancing Scientific Careers and Excellence in Physician Development (ASCEND) is a new initiative on behalf of the DGSOM Office of Physician-Scientist Career Development (OPSCD) and Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME) to provide a series of seminars and small in-person gatherings to provide a forum for housestaff, fellows, and early faculty at DGSOM to encourage future research careers as physician-scientists.
