2024-2025 Viola Hyde Surgical Student Research Grant Applications - Due 2/1/2025

The Viola Hyde Awards: 

Viola Hyde Surgical Research Scholars Application ($3000) 

A limited number of $3000 medical student awards are available for the coming academic year to support a research project.  The applicant must be a medical student at UCLA and conducting research with a UCLA faculty member from any surgical department or division. These are limited to one award per student during medical school, although students may apply multiple times. 

Deadline for Submission: February 1, 2025

Viola Hyde Medical Student Travel Grant Application ($500-$1000) 

A limited number of $500-$1000 medical student travel grants are available to attend any surgical meeting in the coming academic year.  The applicant must be a medical student at UCLA and presenting research with a UCLA faculty member from any surgical department or division. Funds will be determined based on a proposed submitted budget. These are limited to one award per student during medical school, although students may apply multiple times. 

Deadline for Submission: February 1, 2025
