49th Annual UCLA State-of-the-Art Urology Conference

This course explores the most challenging management problems facing the practicing urologist. Distinguished faculty present current information and techniques in urologic oncology (prostate, bladder, kidney), male and female voiding dysfunction, incontinence, urinary tract infection, BPH surgical therapies, stone disease, penile implants, hypogonadism, prostate cancer focal and radiation therapy, perineal prostate biopsy, active surveillance, genetic testing, advanced prostate cancer therapy, non-muscle invasive bladder cancer, upper tract TCCA, renal and adrenal tumors, practice management, urethral stricture disease, and gender affirming care. The conference emphasizes interaction between participants and faculty and allows ample time for case presentations and group discussions, ensuring an outstanding educational experience for attendees.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:
- Tailor BPH surgical therapy
- Perform penile implant surgery and manage complications
- Manage hypogonadism with novel therapies
- Utilize perineal biopsy in clinical practice
- Manage prostate cancer recurrence after primary therapy
- Perform continence sparing techniques during radical prostatectomy
- Utilize focal therapy for prostate cancer
- Manage advanced prostate cancer
- Manage non-muscle invasive bladder cancer
- Manage patients with upper tract urothelial cancer
- Perform partial nephrectomy
- Manage adrenal lesions
- Manage the spectrum of kidney cancer including the small renal mass
- Manage male and female voiding dysfunction including pelvic floor dysfunction
- Manage post-prostatectomy incontinence
- Utilize supplements for UTI prevention
- Manage kidney stone disease and stones during pregnancy
- Perform mini-percutaneous stone surgery
- Inject xiaflex and manage the complications
- Understand important aspects of gender affirming care
