Our FIRST lecture for 2026 is on transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) of the brain. TMS and other neurostimulatory therapies have ever increasing success and acceptance in recent years. This lecture offers latest results using Neurotherapeutix TMS, an FDA-cleared, fMRI-guided, personalized-medicine, focal-stimulation technique used to treat major depression and other psychiatric and neurologic disorders. Compare and contrast it with the popular Stanford fMRI-assisted SAINT TMS protocol. https://neurotherapeutixnyc.com/

Our speaker, Dr. Alayar Kangarlu, is a world-renowned MR hardware innovator and master of multiple MR modalities. Famously, he built the first ultra-high-field (11 T) human MRI scanner. For decades, he has produced cutting-edge brain research, including introduced many novel designs as the long-standing director of the MR coil lab at Columbia. And he is a co-developer of Neurotherapeutix TMS.
