UC Simulation Symposium
UCLA Simulation Center and CASIT are hosting the 3rd annual UC Simulation Symposium, a conference to share the latest innovations in healthcare simulation within the UC system. The symposium will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 11:30am-5:00pm, preceded by the consortium meeting in the morning from 7:30am-11:30am.
The UC Simulation Symposium is open to all UC employees and students and there is no registration fee to attend.
We are excited to announce our joint keynote speakers:
- Jenny Rudolph, PhD (Senior Director of Innovation at the Center for Medical Simulation at Harvard), organizational behavior scientist and international expert on debriefing techniques.
- Amelia Rudolph (founder and former Artistic Director of Bandaloop, the premier vertical dance company in the world; founder of Amelia Rudolph Inc. to explore the boundaries of dance, the natural and built environments: ameliarudolph.com)
Keynote Presentation: On Belay! How Mutual Support Nurtures High-performing Healthcare Teams
Join sisters Amelia Rudolph and Jenny Rudolph as they help us explore how to nurture connection and excellence in healthcare teams. This interactive keynote combines Amelia’s experience in vertical dance and choreography with Jenny’s research and teaching on debriefing and teamwork in simulation.
What will you be ready to do?
- Describe how micro-conversations shape organizational culture
- Identify practical, everyday techniques to nurture a culture of psychological safety
- Use metaphor to inspire and transform your team’s culture
