The David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA recently welcomed hundreds of new faculty to UCLA Health. The new faculty span departments, divisions and specialties, ranging from clinical practice to teaching and research.

“We are pleased to welcome these outstanding faculty members to the David Geffen School of Medicine,” said Dr. Steven Dubinett, dean of the David Geffen School of Medicine and UCLA associate vice chancellor.

“They bring expertise and creativity to our academic community. Their contributions will strengthen our research, educational and clinical missions and help us continue improving health through discovery and innovation.”

Last month, new faculty members were invited to attend an in-person, half-day orientation at Geffen Hall. The orientation included presentations by and discussions with the school’s executive, academic, education, inclusive excellence and research leaders. Topics ranged from career advancement and development, professionalism, available resources and research guidance. Over 100 DGSOM leaders, faculty and staff were in attendance.

The faculty join DGSOM during a milestone year, the school’s 75th anniversary, adding new experience and insight to a legacy of excellence.
