JEDI Signature Programs and Initiatives
JEDI Academic Mentorship (JAM)
This fellowship includes a one-year period of training with extensive coaching, networking, and mentoring opportunities aimed at expanding the professional development and retention of a diverse faculty.
Residents, Fellows, and Postdoctoral Scholars
Bruin Scholars - APPLICATION open
The Bruin Scholars program aims to retain promising DGSOM residents, fellows, and post-docs and also support their development into successful junior faculty members committed to serving the greater Los Angeles community.
- Prospective scholars should have demonstrable experience serving underserved or vulnerable populations and/or promoting justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism.
- Chosen scholars will receive support to develop their academic interests, build leadership experience, and pursue their passions.
Road to Residency
This annual program gives medical students the opportunity to learn about residency programs at UCLA, meet residents and faculty of historically underrepresented backgrounds, and engage with leadership from multiple departments.
