Accreditation 

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of PeerPoint Medical Education Institute and the UCLA Health: Medicine-Pediatrics & Preventative Medicine Division. PeerPoint Medical Education Institute is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

PeerPoint Medical Education Institute designates the live format for this educational activity for a maximum of 7.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The California State Board of Registered Nursing accepts courses approved by the AMA for category 1 credit as meeting the continuing education requirements for license renewal. Nurses from states other than California should inquire with their local State Board for specific continuing education policies.

Licensees of the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) may claim continuing education hours for all content that pertains to license scope of practice and as described by the licensee’s Business and Professions Code. UCLA is a state-approved post-secondary institution, and thus is approved to offer continuing education by BBS.
