The Inaugural Cardiovascular Theme Symposium was held on September 2, 2016 in the new Luskin Conference Center on the UCLA campus. This Symposium was the first scientific conference sponsored by the UCLA Cardiovascular Theme.
The symposium program included lectures from nine world leaders in the field of cardiovascular research and medicine. The symposium was attended by ~375 scientists, clinicians and trainees. Over 90 abstracts were presented, resulting in seven awardees in the categories of graduate students and clinical/research fellows.
