The COE travel award and research programs aim to facilitate student research on health issues particularly affecting under-represented minority groups, including research on issues relating to the delivery of health care. Opportunities are open to all current UCLA medical students.

Medical Student Conference Travel Stipend

UIM-COE is offering travel stipends to UCLA medical students to present their health disparities research at a regional or national conference. Application is open from August 2023 through May 15, 2024. Please email the UIM-COE for application link. 

Medical Student Discovery Year Health Disparities Research Program

UIM-COE is offering research stipends to medical students conducting health disparities research during Discovery Year. Application is open from September 12, 2023 through February 1st, 2024. Please email the UIM-COE for application link.
