The Los Angeles Human Rights Initiative (LAHRI) invites you to join us for a Mental Health First Aid Training!
About the Training: This comprehensive 8-hour training program, certified by the National Council for Mental Health, equips you with the skills to support individuals experiencing mental health challenges. The training includes 2 hours of online pre-work (can be done at your own time) followed by 6 hours of in-person instruction.
What You Will Learn:
- Risk factors and warning signs of serious mental health challenges
- How to engage in supportive conversations
- Strategies to identify the next best steps for individuals in need
- The importance of non-judgmental listening, empathy, and validation
- How to dispel common myths and misconceptions about mental health
Certification: Participants who complete the entire training will receive an MHFA certificate of completion.
